Obituary
Mrs. Fannie M. Bridgham The community was shocked Friday morning by the news of the sudden death, at the home of her mother, Mrs. Frances Bradbury on Spring street in this town. Mrs. Bridgham has been in poor health for several years but was able to come to Dexter for the summer as has been her custom for several years since making her winter home with her daugh- ter, Mrs. J. Gray Card Somerville, Mass. She was planning to return to Somerville with Mrs. Card Saturday. Death was due to hardening of the arteries. In the death of Mrs. Bridgham Dexter loses one of its most esteemed women. Born in Amesbury, Mass., 67 years ago, she came to Dexter and made her home until a few years ago. She was the widow of the late Levi Bridgham and, besides her mother is survived by four children, John Bridgham of Mt. Vernon, Iowa, Miss Ethelinde Bridgham of Davenport, Iowa, Mrs. J. Gray Card of Somerville, Mass., and Albert Bridgham of Medford, Hillside, Mass., also by a stepson, Alvah Bridgham of East Walpole, Mass. Mrs. Bridgham was a member of the Church of the Messiah, Episcopal, to which church she was most devoted. She was a valued member of the Dexter Woman's Literary club up to the time of her death. She will be missed by hosts of friends in this town who extend to the family their deep sympathy. Funeral services were held at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon from the Church of the Messiah, Episcopal, Rev. George Bruce Nicholson, D. D., of Somerville, Mass., officiating. A ladies' choir, composed of Mrs. Forrest Lincoln, Mrs. Waldo Winslow, Miss Agnes Randadll, sopranos; Mrs. Lillian Small, Mrs. Imogene Weymouth, contraltos, rendered several selections. Joseph K. Springall played the organ. Many beautiful floral offerings were in evidence, bearing silent testimony to the high esteem in which the deceased was held by a large circle of friends. The members of the Woman's Literary club attended the services in a body. The bearers were Alvah Bridgham, Albert Bridgham, Gray Card, Laurid Lauridson.
