Obituary	Pius Gallant Pius Gallant, for many years gate tender at the Grove street crossing of the Maine Central Railroad, died at his home on Grove street late last Thursday evening after an illness of several weeks following a shock of paralysis. The deceased, before becoming a gate tender, was a brakeman in the employ of the Maine Central and lost both legs in an accident in the White Mountains. Besides a widow he is survived by several children and by other relations in Portland. Funeral services were held Monday from St. Ann's Catholic church, Rev. Fr. Dechene of Lewiston officiating. The bearers were, Joseph Mountain, Thomas Grouleau, Andrew Flynn, and Martin Pelrine. Burial was at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
