Obituary
Mrs. Helen A. Brown The death of Mrs. Helen A Brown, widow of the late William Brown of Parkman, occurred at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Mary Bessey on Ma ple street late Wednesday night Sept. 20, after an illness of several months. Funeral services were held from the home of Mrs. Bessey, Saturday at 2 o'clock. The deceased was born in Parkman 86 years ago, the daughter of E. L. and Susan R. Smart. She resided in Parkman until the death of her husband 22 years ago when she came to this town and has since made her home with her daughter. Mrs. Brown is survived by two chil-dren, Mrs. Horace Ham of Cambridge and Mrs. Mary Bessey of this town, with whom she resided, also by six grandchildren and two brothers, William H. Smart of Harmony and G. E. L. Smart of Parkman. Funeral services were conducted from the home of Mrs. Mary Bessey on Maple street Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. L. G. Perry officiating. The services were attended by the relatives and many friends of the deceased and there was profusion of handsome floral offerings which bore silent testimony of the esteem in which the deceased was held. The bearers were four nephews, H. L. Smart of Sangerville, E. I. Smart of Cambridge, Jesse Smart of Parkman, and John H. Smart of Dexter.
