Obituary	Mary E. Whitcomb Mary E. Whitcomb, a native of Dexter by birth and many years residence, daughter of Davis and Sarah Jumper, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. R. J. Buxton of Corinna, Friday morning, after a long illness. Mary Jumper was born in Dexter May 14, 1847. In 1874 she was united in marriage to Augustus Whitcomb and her married life, with the exception of a short period in the West was spent in Dexter. Since the death of her husband she has made her home with her daughter. The only near relation besides the daughter is one sister, Mrs. Flora Johnson of Dexter. The funeral ser- vices were held in the Universalist church of Dexter, Rev. S. J. Willis of Pittsfield officiating, assisted by Wassookeag Chapter Order of Eastern Star. Interment was made in Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Bearers were Forest and Harry Johnson, Arthur Brown and Roy Buxton.
