Obituary
Mrs. Laurids Lauridsen The many friends in this town of Mrs. Laurids Lauridsen were shocked to learn of her death which occurred suddenly at the Eastern Maine General hospital where she was undergoing treatment, having been a patient at the hospital for a short time. Mrs. Lauridsen and her family came to this town several years ago from Calais and during her residence in Dexter she has made many friends who regret her passing and who sympathize with the afflicted family in its sorrow. Funeral services were conducted from the home on Free street Tuesday afternoon, Rev. Barron F. McIntire, pastor of the Universalist church officiating. The services were attended by many neighbors and friends of the deceased and there was a profusion of beautiful floral offerings. The bearers were Samuel E. Moore, Arthur W. Stone, Clarence N. Pierce and Fred E. Gove. Burial was in the new section of Mount Pleasant cemetery. The deceased is survived by her husband, by three daughters, Mrs. Willard Thomes, Miss Elsie and Miss Alma Lauridsen and by three sons, Paul and Clarence Lauridsen of this town and Hugo, who is in the United States Navy and who is in Virginia at the present time. She is also survived by a brother and sister liv- ing at New Denmark, N. B.
