Death Summons W. W. Higgins William Whitman Higgins, widely known in Modesto and vicinity as leader of the Modesto Boys band and the Modesto band, passed away at an early hour April 1st at his home at 1716 Lee street. The deceased was a native of Dexter, Maine, and 56 years of age. He had lived in Modesto for 12 years and up to the time of his illness several months ago had been employed as chief engineer at the local plant of the Milk Producers association of Central California. He leaves a widow, Mary E. Higgins; a daughter, Aileen, and a son, Irvin Higgins. Two brothers, Frank J. Higgins of Modesto and, Clarence E. Higgins, Dexter, Maine also survive. The deceased was a prominent member of the Modern Woodmen of America. -Modesto (Calif.) News
