Mrs. Hattie Grant Mrs. Hattie Grant passed on to the higher life March 31, at the home of her nephew, James Boynton, where she has been tenderly cared for by her sister, Mrs. Sarah Boynton, who has given her constant care for the last seven months. Mrs. Grant. was the daughter of William and Elizabeth Rand, and was born in St. Albans December 12, 1850. She was the widow of Jonathan Grant who died nine years ago. They had one son, Almont, who died May 6, 1910. There is left to mourn her death, one granddaughter, Beatrice Grant, and a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Paul Perin, of Guilford, two sisters, Mrs. Ann C. Puffer and Mrs. Sarah Boynton of Dexter, one brother of Eau Claire, Wis., and a number of nieces and nephews besides a host of friends, who have been most kind to make the last of her life pleasant, by their many thoughtful acts. The funeral was held at the home of James Boynton Sunday at 1 o'clock, P. Ernest Smith officiating. The bearers were Nathan Bucknam, John L. Morrison; Charles E. Stone, and Frank Haines. Mrs. Grant was united with the church when a girl and has always lived a good life and been a faithful wife and mother and with her cheerful ways gained friends wherever she went.
