Obituary	Francis E. Hale The many friends of Francis, son of Harry E. Hale, were shocked to learn yesterday afternoon of his death, which occurred at the University of Maine, following a short illness from cardiac pneumonia. Last Friday Mr. Hale was in Orono to see his son, who had a slight cold, but was expected to soon recover. Saturday he was again summoned to the bedside of his son, pneumonia having developed and his condition was con-sidered critical. He grew steadily worse and the end came about 2.30 Wednesday. Francis was the son of Harry E. and Fannie (Elder) Hale, his mother dying when he was but a few days old. He was 19 years of age and graduated in the class of 1921, D. H. S. He was much interested in electrical science and entered the University of Maine last fall, to take a course in electrical engineering. He stood well in his studies and was among the leaders of the Freshman class. Funeral services will be held Saturday forenoon, at ten o'clock, at his home on Highland avenue.
