Obituary	Henry Howard Funeral services for the late Henry Howard were held last Thursday afternoon from the home of his son, Frank Howard on Maple street, Rev. C. D. Hazelton, pastor of the First Baptist church officiated. The bearers were Mayor J. B. Stewart of Brewer, Galen R. Ramsay of this town and two sons, Frank Howard of Dexter and Fred Howard of Portland. The deceased was a native of Deer Isle where he was born 72 years ago. For the greater part of his life he has resided in Newport and Portland, having for 53 years been a faithful employe of the Portland Packing Co., from which position he was retired a year and a half ago. Since that time he has been in failing health, passing away last Thursday evening. He was a member for many years, of Victory lodge, No. 53, Knights of Pythias of Newport. Besides his sons, Frank of Dexter, and Fred of Portland, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Bertha Atkins of Massachusetts. Interment was in the Howard lot at Mount Pleasant cemetery.
