Obituary
Mrs. Carrie C. Blethen The many friends of Mrs. Carrie C. Blethen, widow of Henry A. Blethen, will regret to learn of her death at her home in Dexter, April 26. Mrs. Blethen was born in Dover and passed all her life here until she married Mr. Blethen about twenty years ago. She had a large circle of friends here who extend sympathy to her only son, Harry R. Chase, and brother Henry N. Spaulding. Mrs. Blethen was a past grand of Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge and a prominent member of the Universalist church here. After funeral services at her home in Dexter, the body was taken to her old home at Henry N. Spaulding's where services were held by Rev. Frank Thompson. The Rebekahs of this town attended in a body. The floral offerings were very beautiful, silent tokens of the esteem in which she was held. Interment was in the family lot here. (Also 5-03-1923, p.8) Death of Mrs. Blethen The many friends in this town and Dover-Foxcroft of Mrs. Carrie C. Blethen, widow of the late Henry A.
