Obituary	Mrs. Susie E. Downing The body of Mrs. Susie E. Downing, 60, wife of Roscoe Downing of Waterville was brought to Dexter Wednesday for burial at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. Mrs. Downing died at her home November 23 after a few weeks illness from angina. She was born in Dexter February 26, 1883, the daughter of Benjamin and Ella Eldridge and lived here for many years before moving to Waterville. She was a talented pianist and played in many public concerts and served as pianist for a number of lodges of which she was a member. Besides her husband, she leaves seven daughters, Mrs. Charles Seavey of Ripley, Mrs. Maynard Soule of Waterville, Mrs. Alton Gould of Ripley, Mrs. Emery Morin of Waterville, Mrs. William Greeley of Parkman, Miss Charlene Downing of Portland and Cpl. Laura F, Downing of Washington; two sons, Sgt. Robert Downing of California and Meredith Downing of Waterville, also eighteen grandchildren.
