Obituary
Mrs. E. M. Whitcomb Mrs. E. M. Whitcomb, widow of the late T. G. Whitcomb, passed away March 7 at the home of her nephew, Walter Brawn, at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn her death, one sister, Mrs. Mary Carson of Corinna, three brothers, Sumner Brawn of Bath, Andrew Brawn and George Brawn both of Dexter, and several nieces and nephews and a large circle of friends. Everything that love and money could do failed to save her. The funeral services were held Saturday, March 10 at the home of her nephew, Walter Brawn, upper main street. Words of comfort were spoken by the pastor of the First Universalist church, Rev B. F. McIntire. Galen Ramsay had charge of arrangements. The bearers were Arthur Fish, Chas. Fish, Chas. Spooner, and James Leighton. There were many beautiful flowers which silently testified to the love and esteem of her many friends. The remains were placed in the tomb and burial will be in Dexter.
