Obituary
Mrs. Alice Fletcher Mower The death of Mrs. Alice Fletcher Mower, widow of the late Carrol Mower, occurred Saturday morning at her home on High street after a short illness from pneumonia. The deceased was 59 years of age. She was born in Skowhegan, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Fletcher, living in Dexter since her marriage 32 years ago. Mrs. Mower is survived by two sons, Clyde and Kenneth Mower, both of this town; two sisters, Mrs. Bessie Thompson and Mrs. Kate Holbrook of Skowhegan, and by two brothers, Bert and William Fletcher both of Skowhegan. Mr. Mower's death occurred but a few weeks ago. Mrs. Mower was a woman of sterling character who will be sadly missed. She was a faithful member of the Ladies' Aid society of the First Baptist church and of the What-So-Ever class of the Sunday school. Funeral services were held Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock from the Mower home in the apartments of Misses Ella and Josephine Mower. Rev. Irving B. Mower, D. D. of Waterville officiated assisted by Rev. C. D. Hazelton, pastor of the First Baptist church.
