Obituary
George Marsh The community was saddened Sunday morning by the news of the death of George Marsh, who passed away Saturday night at a Bangor hospital, where he was taken a week ago for treatment. Mrs. Marsh was in Bangor to see him Friday and was called back Saturday night as he had failed rapidly and the end seemed near. She returned to Dexter with the body Monday morning. Mr. Marsh was born in the house in which he has lived all the 61 years of his life. The homestad is in the town of Ripley yet as it is nearer Dexter village than Ripley, he attended Dexter high school and has done most of his business in this town. Most of his life has been spent as a farmer and his farm has been one of the best kept and most attractive places for miles around. He was a sympathetic friend, a kindly neighbor, and a man respected by all who knew him. He was a member of the Methodist church and a former member of the Dexter grange. Besides his widow, Charlotte Hood Marsh, he is survived by two brothers, John Marsh of Dexter and S. K. Marsh of Panama, N. Y., also by two sisters, Miss Clara Marsh, who has always made her home with him, and Mrs. George Cyphers of this town. The family has the sympathy of many friends. Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday morning at 10 o'clock.
