Obituary	William Morrison William Morrison, long connected with the textile industry in this town and one of the community's best known citizens, died at his home here Monday afternoon, after an illness of about a week. The funeral was held at his late residence at 1.30 o'clock Wednesday afternoon, Rev. William Garner of the Universalist church officiating. Mr. Morrison was born in Tillicoutry, Scotland, July 25, 1855, his parents coming to Dexter when he was eight years old. He began in the woolen mills when a lad and learned the business by working in about every department. In 1898, in company with his brother, John L. Morrison, he bought of the Union Mfg. Co., the White mill, so called, which they operated with marked success as the Morrison Woolen Co., Inc., until 1919, when the business was sold out to Carpenter & Davis of New York, the old name being retained and Mr. Morrison continued as superintendent and general manager, until he retired last year. He was liberal in his contributions to worthy causes and leaves a large estate. Besides his brothers, John L. Morrison and George Morrison, of Dexter, there are three nieces, the Misses Margaret and Marion Morrison of Dexter, and Mrs. Agnes Morrison Safford.
