Obituary	Mrs. Mattie Belle Swanton, 85, wife of Wallace Swanton if Dexter, died Saturday afternoon at her home here. Funeral services were conducted at the home on Spring street Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. Samuel A. Bowman, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be at Mt. Pleasant cemetery. She was born in Swanville, Oct. 6, 1864, daughter of Paul and Phoebe (Brown) Freeman. She has lived most of her 50 years of married life in Dexter, and was a member of the Fidelity Club of the Pythian Sisters. One brother, Everett Freeman, of Dover, N. H.; one daughter, Mrs. Mayfair Dow Gillingham, R. N. of Jacksonville, Fla., and Dexter. Bearers were: William R. Spencer, Eugene Swanton, Wendell Davis, Clarence Beverly, Stanley H. Field, Albert Stafford, all of Dexter.
