Obituary
David Palmer Funeral services for David Palmer were held from the home of his son, C. R. Palmer, Monday morning at 10 o'clock, Alfred McKinney officiating. Interment was made at Jackman's Corner cemetery. The bearers were: Manley Carle, Walter Farnham, Dexter Allen and R. C. Palmer. The deceased was born in Newport July 4, 1839, but came to North Dexter at an early age and had since made his home there. His wife, Susan E. Pettingall, passed away several years ago. Mr. Palmer was a member of the first Maine Heavy Artillery, Co. E, and had been an interested member of the G. A. R. since the war. He is survived by his son, C. Ralph Palmer, with whom he made his home, and one daughter, Mrs. Emily J. Blake, of North Dexter.
