Obituary	THOMAS E. ROGERS 1815 - 1874 Thomas E. Rogers was born March 12, 1815 and died in Dexter June 4, 1874. He married Sarah A. Carlton, daughter of Daniel and Lydia (Hadley) Carlton. Mr. Rogers was a machinist and considered a genious by many of his townspeople, what Tom Rogers could not do was hardly worth doing. The family lived for many years in a house on Spring Street on the site of that owned by the Mayburys. In fact the Rogers house was incorporated in the new one.
