Obituary
Sumner Champeon Friends in town of Sumner Champeon were sorry to learn of his death which occurred Sunday afternoon at the home of his son, Eugene, on Spring street with whom he has made his home for several years. Mr. Champeon was born in Exeter 87 years ago, and since the death of his wife has made his home in this town. He is survived by his son, Eugene, one brother, Richard Champeon of Garland and one sister, Mrs. Myra Bachelder of Garland and three grand-children, Mrs. Oscar Wallace of Rochester, N. H., Miss Bertha Champeon of Lowell, Mass. and Lewis Champeon of this town. Funeral servvices were conducted from the, home Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. D. P. Pelley of the Methodist Episcopal church officiating. The bearers were Warren Fernald, Stanley Fields, Syl- vester Roberts and Arthur Inman. Burial was in Garland. Mr. Champeon was a Civil War veteran.
