Mrs. Alice Clark The many friends of Mrs. Alice Clark were grieved to learn of her death, which occurred at her home last Thursday noon, at the age of 58 years. She had been a great sufferer since last November, but hearing it all with a smile. Almost to the last she would try to joke, trying to keep the others in good courage. She will be missed by all who knew her. The funeral services were conducted at the late home by Rev. Mr. Hazelton, pastor of the Baptist church, at 1.30 o'clock Sunday. Mrs. Daisy Arnold sang two beautiful selections, "Sometime We'll Understand" and "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere." The bearers were Edwin Shepherd, Fred Gove, Walter Fish and Mr. Libby. She leaves to mourn her death, a husband, Amasa Clark, a daughter, Mrs. Bertha Hatch, of Corinna, who tenredly cared for her mother through her illness, one son, Guy Clark, of this town a mother, Mrs. Mary Garland, of this town and three grandchildren, Dorothy, Helen and Hazel Clark, all of this town, two sisters, Mrs. Agnes Skillin of Winthrop, Mrs. Arthur Page of this town, three brothers, Harry Garland of Silver's Mills, Herbert of Milo and Everett of Pittsfield, besides many nieces and nephews. The flowers were many and beautiful, showing the high esteem in which she was held. She was laid at rest in Mount Pleasant cemetery.
