Obituary	HARRY L. GARLAND The death of Harry L. Garland, 77, occurred at his home in South Sangerville Friday, June 3, after a long illness. Funeral services were held Sunday at the Crosby funeral parlors in Dexter, the Rev. Samuel A. Bowman, pastor of the Methodist Church, officiating. Bearers were Stanley P. Inman, Doran L. Nuite, Raymond B. King and Irving Moore. Interment was in Town House cemetery, Sangerville. Born at Great Works, the son of Andrew and Mary Garland, he had been a resident of Milo, So. Dover, and Dexter, and had lived in Sangerville for the past 35 years. Surviving are his wife, the former Miss Iva Cleaves of Sangeville, whom he married 44 years ago; three daughters, Mrs. Reba Richards and Miss Ruth Garland of Portland, Miss Evelyn Garland of Sangerville; two sons, Carl of Dexter and Aubrey of Sangerville; two grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Mary Garland, now 104, of Dexter; a sister, Mrs. Minnie Page of Dexter; two brothers, Herbert of Milo and Everett of Athens; several nieces and nephews.
