Obituary	George N. Slater George N. Slater died at a hospital in Bangor Wednesday, after a long illness, he having been in failing health for the past three vears. Mr. Slater, was born in Ellenville, N. Y., March 4, 1861, and has lived for the past 42 years in Dexter. He was a member of Plymouth lodge, I. 0. 0. F., Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge, Penobscot F. and A. M., and Wassookeag Chapter, 0. E. S. He was employed by Fay & Scott up to three years ago when he retired owing to failing health. He leaves to mourn his death, wife, Emily Martin Slater, two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Spencer, and Mrs. Mabel Simms, of Dexter, three sons, Rexford and Wilfred of Dexter and George of Daytona Beach, Fla., two Brothers, A. D. Slater of Nyack, N. Y., and L. M. Slater, of Ossining, N. Y. The funeral services will be held in the Congregational church Saturday afternoon. Rev. Clifford Cross, pastor of the church, will officiate.
