Obituary
Mrs. Clara Nettie (Giles) Pierce The sudden death of Mrs. Nettie Pierce, which occurred at the home of her son, Clarence, Tuesday night, was a great shock to her many friends. Mrs. Pierce had been in her usual health and was out shopping with her daughter, Mrs. Alma Pierce, in the afternoon. As she was not in the habit of breakfasting with the family nothing was thought of her non appearance the next morning, but later a member of the family carried some fruit to her and found she had passed away, having apparently gone without a struggle. Mrs. Pierce was born in Epsom, N.H., 65 years ago. In early life she married Charles Stark Pierce, whose death occurred several years ago, and lived in Farmington, N. H., until com- ing to reside with her son and family, eleven years ago, during which time she has endeared herself to all who knew her. She leaves to mourn her death, besides her son, Clarence, and family, three sisters, Mrs. E. J. Canfield, Mrs. Ella Parker and Miss Viola Giles, and three brothers, Fred A., and Herbert Giles, all of Farmington, N. H., all of whom have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement. She was a member of the Baptist church, of which she was a most interested worker and also a member of Nuite Ridge Grange of Farmington, N. H. Funeral services will be held at the home of her son on Maple street, tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock.
