Obituary	Charles E. Stone Dies Suddenly In Garden Charles E. Stone, 68, of Dexter died suddenly this morning at about 8 o'clock while working in his garden at his home, 39 School street. Mr. Stone, who with his wife had spent the winter at their St. Petersburg home and made a motor trip to California before returning to Dexter, had been under a doctor's care recently but feeling much improved. Born in Ripley, March 16, 1881, the son of Samuel and Marla Stone, he attended the Ripley schools. At the age of 18 he entered the Fay and Scott Machine Shop as an apprentice and worked up to the position as superintendent over a period of 25 years. In 1924, Mr. Stone went to Morris, N. Y., as superintendent at the Lynn Tractor Company, a position he held for 15 years. Returning to Fay and Scott in 1941 he has remained there until the present time.
