Obituary
Funeral services were conducted at the residence on School street, Monday afternoon, for Fred M. Young, 86, who died at his home Saturday after two months illness. The Rev. Stanley Gates Spear of Beverly, Mass., a former Pastor of the Dexter Universalist Church, officiated. Bearers were a son, Harry; two grandsons, Philip and Richard Young, all of this town; and a son-in-law, Ralph Ramirez, of Wellesley, Mass. Interment was In the Exeter cemetery. Born at Exeter, April 7, 1863, the son of Elias T. and Sarah (Cleveland) Young, he had been a resident of Exeter and Dexter all his life with the exception of three years spent at Beverly, Mass. Until his retirement, he was a well-known carpenter and contractor. Mr. Young was a member of the First Universalist Church of Dexter, serving for many years as superintendent of the Sunday School. Surviving are a son, Harry W. Young; three daughters, Miss Stella Young, R. N., who cared for him during his illness, Mrs. Earl Lincoln, all of Dexter; and Mrs. Ruth Ramirez of Wellesley, Mass., seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
