Obituary	GEORGE R. SMALL, SR. DEXTER - George R. Small, Sr., 85, died unexpectedly October 27, 1995 at his residence. He was born March 22, 1910 at Monticello the son of Laurel L. and Linnie V. (Miller) Small. He served in the U. S. Navy, and was later employed as a mechanic at Fay-Scott Landis Machine Shop in Dexter and at Great Northern Paper Company in E. Millinocket. He was also a crop farmer and operated a vegetable stand at his residence for many years. He was a former member of the North Dexter Grange. He was predeceased by his wife, Marion (Woodard) Small, who died April 28, 1988. He is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Laurel and Debbie of Massachusetts, Wendell and Carol of Derby, George and Sue of Hartland; 5 daughters, Carol and Wayne King of Corinna, Gloria and Merton Macomber of Exeter, Judy Seamans of Dexter, Dale and Gerald Hewitt of Dover-Foxcroft, Janice and Robert Shank of Dexter; one sister, Susan Hall of Millinocket; 29 grandchildren, many great grandchildren. Friends called Sunday at Crosby-Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main Street, Dexter, where funeral services were held Monday with Rev. Harold Wheeler officiating. Burial was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Dexter.
