Obituary
Nathan W. Dennett Word bas been received of the death of Nathan W. Dennett, 80, on April 16, at his home in Belmont, Mass. He was born in Silver Ridge. His wife, formerly Fannie H. Farrar of Dexter and Waltham, Mass., died at their Belmont home on April 7, after a period of failing health. The Farrar family lived in the No. 10 district here many years ago, the buildings since having burned. Mr. Dennett was an active member of the Park Street Church of Boston, where he was a senior deacon and trustee. He was a member of the Gideons, which he joined 1903, and was credited with being originator of the distribution of Gideon Bibles in hotels. He was in the wholesale leather business until his retirement a year ago. Survivors are four daughters, Miss Annie A. Dennett of Northampton, Mass., Mrs. Fred L. Sprague, Mrs. Kenneth C. Willard, both of Belmont; and Mrs. Charles H. Tiebmann of Riverside, Conn., and four grandchildren.
