Obituary
TERRENCE J. GILBERT DEXTER - Terrence J. Gilbert, 69, died February 17, 1995 at his home in Dexter. He was born May 29, 1925 in Dexter, the son of Clement and Flora (Clukey) Gilbert. He served in the Army during WWII and was a member of American Legion Post #53 and the V.F.W. in Dexter. He worked for many years as a letter carrier in Dexter, was a communicant of St. Anne's Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Gladys (Deering) Gilbert of Dexter; two sons and daughters-in-law, Terrence P. and Deirdre Gilbert of Bloomfield, CT and Christopher and Donna Gilbert of Newport; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela and Ronald Nadeau of Belfast and Benita and Gerrard Rudmin of Dexter; a brother and sister-in-law Gerald and Josephine Gilbert of Dexter; a special niece Carol Lackey of Willmington, VT and a special nephew Michael Sawyer of Wrentham, MA; 14 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers Edward and Francis, a sister, Anita Richards and a great granddaughter Macey. Friends called February 19 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home, 238 Main St., Dexter. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated February 20 at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dexter with Rev. Antonio Amato officiating. Spring burial will be in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Dexter.
