Obituary	DOROTHY A. TILTON DEXTER - Dorothy A. Tilton, 73, died April 10, 1995 at her home after a long illness. She was born June 12, 1921 in Charleston, the daughter of T. Ervin and Bernina (Sowers) McGray. She spent her life as a homemaker, lovingly caring for her children, grandchildren and friends children. Loved ones returned the care during her long illness, and she will be sadly missed by all. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, George Tilton of Dexter and three sons, Clinton and wife Connie, Larry and wife Jean, all of Dexter and Roger of Washington D.C.; one daughter, Brenda Cooley and husband Bob of Dexter; eight grandchildren, Beverly Tilton of Newport, George and wife Kathy Tilton of Manchester, New Hampshire, Steve and wife Therese Tilton, Chris Tilton, Ann Tilton and fiance Robert Miller, and Kevin Cooley all of Dexter. Also Gail and husband Jeff Merrill of Waterboro and Michelle and husband Ryan Stankevitz of Corinna. Her two great-grandchildren are Katrina and Sarah Merrill of Waterboro. Dorothy is also survived by five sisters, Lyna Sherman of Searsport, Alta Newman of Bangor, Ethel Strout of Charleston, and Edith Tilton and Geraldine Bean of Corinth. Friends called April 12 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Dexter. Funeral services were held at the Funeral Home April 13 with Rev. Bruce Hudson officiating. Spring burial will be in the Corinthian Cemetery in E. Corinth.
