Obituary
Andrew Brawn Andrew Brawn died at his home in this village Friday afternoon at the age of 79 years, as the result of an accident which took place at Hamp-den the day before. The cause of his death was hemorrhage of the brain caused by the accident. Mr. Brawn who is well known as a mover of buildings, was inspecting some work at Hampden when he was struck by a falling timber and this accident resulted in the loss of his life. Mr. Brawn was a man widely known and was very active for a man of his years. He was highly respected as a citizen and held many offices of trust and responsibility in his native town, being among others several times a member of the board of selectmen, having charge of the poor department. He was a kind friend, good neighbor and his death will be mourned among a large circle of friends and fellow townsmen.. Funeral services were held Monday. Mr. Brawn is survived by a son, Walter E. Brawn, a daughter, Mrs. William Smith, of Bridgeport, Conn., a sister, Mrs. Mary Carson of Corinna, a brother, George Brawn of Dexter, two granddaughters, Miss Marie Brawn of Florida and Mrs. John Choate of Waterville, also three great grandchildren. The deceased was a member of Plymouth Lodge of Odd Fellows of this town and very active in the matters concerning the growth and prosperity of the lodge.
