Obituary	GERTRUDE S. HALL RIPLEY - Gertrude S. Hall, 61, widow of the late Donald HalL died June 8, 1995 at a Waterville hospital. She was born in Ripley December 27, 1933 daughter of Jesse and Autense Spencer Skillings. She was a life-long resident of Ripley. She worked for Dexter Shoe Co. for 27 years at their plants in Dexter, Milo, and Puerto Rico. Her real love was farming, and she had a herd of champion Jersey cows which won her many blue ribbons at the local country fairs. She also loved gardening and was an avid lover of horses which also won her many blue ribbons. She is survived by her father of Ripley; her mother-in-law Eleanor Hall of Dexter; 2 brothers- in-law, Tony Hall of Auburn, and Richard and wife Joanne Hall of Dexter; a sister-in-law, Virginia and husband Gerald Wark of Dexter; a special friend, Brian Barrett of Dover-Foxcroft, and several cousins. There were no calling hours. Funeral services were June 10 at the Crosby & Neal Funeral Home in Dexter with burial in the Ferndale Cemetery in Ripley.
