Obituary	Mrs. Sarah F. Lowell Mrs. Sarah Francena Lowell, formerly of Dexter, passed away Sunday, June 13th, after a brief illness at the home of her son, Dr. Ralph P. Lowell, in Sanford. Mrs. Lowell was born in Biddeford 82 years ago, daughter of the late Robert and Hannah Chapman and was the widow of P. L. Lowell, who was a clothier on Main street for 40 years. Since 1899 Mrs. Lowell has spent her years in Massachusetts and Sanford. The deceased will be remembered as an active member of the Methodist church, Woman's Relief Corps, Rebekahs and as a kind neighbor and sincere friend. She leaves a devoted family and a wide circle of friends to mourn her loss. She is survived by a son, Dr. Ralph P. Lowell, of Sanford, and Mrs. Grace Lowell Slocomb of Winthrop, Mass., both of whom attended the Dexter public schools, two granddaughters, Ruth and Frances Lowell, of Sanford, one brother, Daniel C. Chapman of Stoughton, Mass., and three sisters, Mrs. Fred D. Lunt of Waterville, Mrs. Emma L. Turck of New York City and Mrs. Florence Littlefield of Ogun-quit, Me. Services were held at the home of her son in Sanford Tuesday at 2 P. M. Mr. Bearce of the Methodist church officiated. A solo "Asleep in Jesus" was sung by Mrs. M. E. Nickerson of Sanford, and a profusion of beautiful flowers paid silent tribute to her memory. Interment was in the family lot at Mount Pleasant cemetery, Dexter.
