Mrs. Blanche Gove Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the First Baptist Church for Mrs. Blanche Gove, widow of Fred Gove. Mrs. Gove died at a Bangor hospital following several weeks' illness. MRS. BLANCHE GOVE Funeral services for Mrs. Blanche Gove, 62, widow of Fred Gove, were held March 24, at the First Baptist Church in Dexter, with Rev. Harold Wheeler, pastor of the Free Baptist Church, officiating. Mrs. Gove died in a Bangor hospital after several weeks' illness. Bearers were nephews: Hugh Macomber and Bernard Lord of' Dexter; Myron Macomber of Kineo; Harold Macomber of Charleston; Horace and Lawrence Farrar of Dover-Foxcroft. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery later in the season. She was born in Garland on Jan. 14, 1887, the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Dunham) Crocker, and had lived in Dexter most of her life. She was a member of Martha Washington Rebekah Lodge and the Canton Auxiliary No.8. Survivors are two sisters, Mrs. Grace macomber, Mrs. Alice Demerritt, and one brother, C. G. Crocker, all of Dover-Foxcroft; several nieces and nephews. (The Eastern Gazette 3-31-1949, p.2)
