Funeral services for Mrs. Marion Fay Plouff, 75, wife of Peter S. Plouff of Dexter were held Monday afternoon at the First Universalist Church with a former pastor, the Rev. Gordon Chilson Reardon, pastor of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Lineville, Pa., officiating. Mrs. Flouff died at her home Friday, after a short illness. Interment was at Mt. Pleasant cemetery, Dexter. Bearers were: William Spencer, Henry Larsen, Fred Tarbox, Carl Sands, Bernard Morancie, Clarence Harington, Arthur Ambrose and Charles Wade. Mrs. Plouff was born in Worcester, Mass. Jan. 5, 1874, the daughter of Norman H. and Ada (West) Fay. The family moved to Dexter when she was a small child, and she has resided here ever since. She was a graduate of N. H. Fay High School and of Becker College, Worcester, Mass. After graduation she was bookkeeper for the Fay & Scott Company at the time when it was first organized by her father. She was a member and past president of the Dexter Woman's. Literary Club; a past regent of Rebecca Weston Chamber, D. A. R. A member of the First Universalist Church, she was also one of the incorporators of the Plummer Memorial Hospital, and active in numerous other community affairs. Survivors are her husband, Peter S. Plouff; and one son, Norman Fay Plouff, both of Dexter.
