Obituary	Alfred S. LaPointe The sudden death of Alfred J. LaPointe came as a shock to his many friends last Thursday afternoon. Mr. LaPointe who was 48 years of age was at his work as automobile mechanic at the Dexter Garage when he was stricken with a heart attack and died almost instantly. He was born in Dexter the son of Mr. and Mrs. Peter LaPointe and has always lived in this town. He was a member of the Maccabees and of Edward J. Poulliot Post No. 53. Funeral services were held at St. Ann's Catholic church Saturday morning with Rev. Cornelius Enright officiating. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Annie LaPointe; two sons, Alfred Jr., and Ansel LaPointe, of this town; his father, Peter LaPointe and a sister, Mrs. Maude Clukey, both of Jackman.
