Obituary	Funeral services for Mrs. Alice Jewell, widow of Edwin F. Jewell, were conducted Thursday afternoon at the Crosby funeral home by Rev. Samuel Bowman, pastor of the Dexter Methodist church. Mrs. Jewell died Monday afternoon at her home on Lower Main street after a month's illness. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery this spring. Bearers were: Robert Thompson and Henry Dunn of this town; Kenneth of Ripley, E. 0. Lawrence of Corinna. Mrs. Jewell was born in July, 1862, at Shirley, the daughter of John C. and Carrie W. Hobbs. She had lived in Dexter over 50 years. Surviving are one son, Vernon of this town; an adopted daughter, Mrs. Percie N. Morrill, of Dexter; five grandchildren and several great gandchildren.
