Obituary	Mrs. Emma Proctor Mrs. Emma Bryant Proctor died in Turner at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W. H. Gould, Thursday morning, Nov. 29, 1934. She was born in Bloomfield (now Skowhegan), Maine, December 30, 1837. Thus had she lived until the 30th of this month she would have been ninety-seven years old. Her husband, George Proctor, died many years ago. Mrs. Proctor was the daughter of Nathaniel and Adeline (Putnam) Bryant. Mrs. Bryant lived to be ninety-six and her mother "Grandma Putnam" reached the age of ninety-nine years. The Bryant family came to Dexter when the daughter Emma was a small child and were identified with the best interests of the town for a good many years. Capt. Bryant built the house on "Bryant's hill" now the home of Eugene Herrick. Mrs. Proctor made her home in Dexter until after the death of her mother but subsequently went to live with her daughter. Her last years were spent very happily in Turner but she never lost her interest in the town of Dexter and her many friends here. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eloise Gould; a grandson, Harold Labree, and two great-grandsons, Kenneth and Frank Labree. Funeral services were held in Turner Sunday forenoon and the remains brought to Dexter. Committal services were held Sunday at 2 o'clock at Mt. Pleasant cemetery by Rev. W. S. Gould of Turner, the son-in-law of the deceased. Prayer was offered by Rev. W. J. Metz.
