Obituary
Albert F. Copeland On April 29th, Albert F. Copeland of Bethel, passed away at the Rumford Community hospital, after a few days' illness caused by an infection in the hand. Mr. Copeland was a native of Dexter and a descendent of Raymond Copeland, one of its earliest settlers. His boyhood was passed in the family home on the "Ridge" road and he was one of the first students to attend Dexter High school. When a young man Mr. Copeland went to Bethel, where he married and has since made his home. For several years he was a traveling salesman for farm machinery and lumbermen's supplies. More recently he has been active in several branches of local business, especially lumbering and real estate. As a judge of property values and lumber estimates his services were in demand. By his friendliness and square business methods Mr. Copeland made a wide circle of friends who are deeply saddened by his sudden passing. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Ella Copeland, two brothers, Willis M. Copeland, of Everett, Mass.; Dr. P. Raymond Copeland, of Hyde Park, Mass., and two nephews, sons of Dr. Copeland.
