Obituary
Mrs. Helen Amazeen The death of Mrs. Helen Marsh Amazeen, widow of the late John Amazeen, occurred Sunday morning at 9.30 at the home on Maple street. The deceased was 82 years of age, coming to this town from French's Mills about ten years ago, where she lived many years with her husband who died there 20 years ago. The children who survive her are the following: George Amazeen, of Dover-Foxcroft, Mrs. Eva Gibson of Malden, Mass., Mrs. Ina Frost, Mrs. Blanche Dow and Miss Sadie Amazeen of Dexter, and Mrs. Grace Moore of Milo. She leaves two brothers, Frank Marsh of Massachusetts and George Marsh, of Dover-Foxcroft, also one sister, Mrs. Iva Hubbard, of Greenville. There are 14 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren living. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at 1.30 from the home on Maple street, Rev. J. L. Sanders of the Free Baptist church officiating. Two vocal solos were comfortingly rendered by Miss M. Isabel Marsh, with Mrs. Fred Marsh as accompanist. They were, "Oh Troubled Heart Be Still" and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus", the latter being Mrs. Amazeen's favorite hymn. Because of the bad traveling, the remains were not taken to French's Mills for burial in the family cemetery until Wednesday.
