Obituary
Milford H. Salley The many friends of Milford H. Salley, for many years a resident of this town, will be sorry to learn of his death, which occurred Tuesday, Mar. 29, at his home in Veazie, after an illness of several months. He was born in Madison, Feb. 20, 1857, the oldest son of Livingston and Annie Salley. In 1885 he was united in marriage with Edith Foss of Charleston and for thirteen year he conducted a. blacksmith shop in that town. He later moved to Dexter, where for many years he wag engaged in the blacksmith business. His health failing, he sold his business and purchased the Arnold farm on the Charleston road, where he spec-ialized in Ayrshire stock. In October 1925, he sold his farm and moved to Veazie, where he has since resided. Surviving are his wife, one son, Leon F., of Jackson, N. H., three daughters, Mrs. Fred M. Nason and Mrs. Ralph T. Salisbury of Bangor, and Gertrude M. Salley, who resides at home; also three brothers, Henry of East Corinth, Farrington, of Bradford, Edgar of Milo, and one sister, Mrs. Charles King, of Bradford.
