Obituary
Herbert J. Farnham The many friends of Herbert J. Farnham, for many years an employee of Fay & Scott machine shops, will regret to learn of his death which occurred early Tuesday morning at his home on Water street. Mr. Farnham was stricken about a week ago with bronchitis, which developed into pneumonia. He was not considered dangerously ill until a few days before his death which comes as a distinct shock to his many friends in this town. Mr. Farnham was born in Sangerville, Nov. 17, 1873, the son of Wm. T. and Sarah Abbott Farnham. He was a member of Penobscot lodge F. and A. M. of this town and De Molay Commandery of Skowhegan. He was an attendant of the Methodist church of this town. Besides his wife, Gertrude Richardson Farnham, he is sur-vived by two sisters, Mrs. Byron Robbins of this town and Mrs. Sanford Bailey of Cambridge and by one brother, William, of Sangerville who at present is in Ohio; also by several nephews and one niece. Funeral services will be held this afternoon, at the Methodist church, Rev. W. H. Dunham officiating. A Masonic service will be read by the officers of Penobscot lodge.
