Miss Emma J. Twombly Miss Emma Twombly, a resident of Dexter for 30 years or more, passed away Dec. 4, at the Palmer Memorial hospital in Boston, where she had been a patient since early last summer. The remains were taken to the home of her sister, Miss Myra Twombly in Randolph where she bad made her home for the past seven or eight years and where funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 7. Miss Twombly was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Greenleaf Twombly and with them lived here in Dexter, later continuing her residence as an employee of the S. S. Ireland Dry Goods store for many years. She was a member of Martha Washington Rebekah lodge and of Wassookeag Chapter and a regular attendant and worker in the Methodist Church. She is survived by one brother, Herbert Twombly of Gardiner and by two sisters, Miss Myra Twombly and Mrs. Alma Tuck of Randolph, also by one niece, Mrs. M. P. Scott, of Randolph.
