Obituary
Mrs. Jennie J. Allen The death of Mrs. Jennie J. Allen occurred Sunday, Dec. 8th, at 10 p. m., Sunday, Dec. 8th, at 10 p. m., at her at her home in Dexter, after a brief illness of bronchial pneumonia. Mrs. Allen was born at North Dexter Sept. 22, 1859, the daughter of Timothy B. and Mary J. Brown. She leaves to mourn her death two sons, Arthur and Stanley Allen, who have the sympathy of a wide circle of friends. For nearly nine years Mrs. Allen was confined to a wheel chair, but her brave and cheerful spirit was an example to all who knew her and endeared her to old and young, and her many kind and thoughtful acts will long be remembered. She was a member of the Shut-in society for fifteen years. Her husband, Ivory Allen, has been dead nine years. Funeral services were held Wednesday forenoon at 10 o'clock, Rev. William J. Metz, pastor of the Universalist church officiating. The burial was at Jackman's Corner in Sangerville. The bearers were: Walter Farnham, Arthur Packard, Eugene White, Carl Marsh, Henry Adkins and Harry Merrill. Galen Ramsay had charge of the funeral arrangements.
