Obituary	GEORGE W. GOFF 1834-1897 George W. Goff was born in Auburn Maine, the son of William and Louisa (Reed) Goff. At one time "Uncle Billy Goff " kept tavern in Sangerville, Maine, and was well known in that region. George W. Goff married Sarah A. Brett and they had three daughters; Mrs. Cora Goff Barstow, who became an accomplished singer; Nellie, who married Charles E. Morse, and Minnie who died at the age of twelve. Mr. Goff was traveling agent for the American Express Company, largely on the run from Dexter to Bangor.
