Obituary
Joseph Clukey The many friends of Joseph Clukey were shocked to learn of his death Friday afternoon at his home on Water street, following an illness of three weeks during which time he suffered from a general breakdown. Mr. Clukey was born at Twin Junction, Quebec, 68 years ago, the son of Jule and Deline Cronin Clukey. He came to this town when a young boy and for over 50 years has been making his home here. For many years he was employed by the Dexter Water Works, where he was held in high regard. He was a devout member of St. Ann's Catholic church. He is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Angie Rabideau and Mrs. Alida Curty of this town, Mrs. Alice LeValley of Pascoag, R. I., and Mrs. Dorothy Latondress of Mapleville, R. I, by three sons, Harry and Leo Clukey, both of Dexter, and Henry Clukey, of Rockland, two brothers, Victor Clukey, of Ripley, and Oscar Clukey, of Canada, and several grandchildren. The family have the deep sympathy of a wide circle of friends in their bereavement. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Patrick Hayes at St. Ann's Catholic church Monday Morning at 8 o’clock.
