Obituary
Mrs. Flora Ronco On Saturday morning at Grove street hospital occurred the death of Mrs. Flora Ronco. Although at the hospital only a very short time, she had been a great sufferer for the past year with dropsy. Mrs. Ronco was born in Hallowell in 1847, the daughter of John and Flora (Ronco) Jennesse. In 1862, she was united in marriage with the late Augustus Ronco. Of this union twelve children were born, four of whom are deceased. Those that survive are: Mrs. Paul Clukey, John Ronco and Walter Ronco, Dexter; Mrs. Charlie Bearce, Mrs. Orrin Bearce and Mrs. Ernest Bailey, Sr., Dover-Foxcroft; Mrs. Charles Dulac, Waterville and Angustus Ronco, Guilford. Mrs. Ronco came to Dexter 60 years ago. Although of French descent, she spoke English very fluently, and at that time did all the buying at the local stores for a number of women who couldn't speak English. Her life has been one of service. Besides bringing up her own family, she brought up three grandchildren to manhood. Her husband’s father and mother and her own mother were cared for by her in their old age, but in spite of all this she was never too busy to lend a helping hand to others. The funeral was held at St. Ann's Church, of which she was a faithful member, Monday at 10 A. M. The profusion of beautiful flowers was a silent tribute to the respect and affection in which Mrs. Ronco was held. Mr. Ramsay had charge of the funeral. Interment was in the family lot at Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
