Obituary
Charles Fish Funeral services for the late Charles Fish were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of his sister, Mrs. Arthur Nutter, on Maple street. Rev. W. H. Johnson, pastor of the First Baptist church officiated. The bearers were Francis Burton, Jack Fish, Heman and Horace Hart. The deceased passed away in Gorham at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alice Gerrish, Friday morning where he had been ill since Christmas. He was born in Dexter 61 years ago and passed his entire life in this town. He had served as constable for many years and for several years had been one of the State Humane officers, re-cently having been appointed again for a term of four years He was a member of the Dexter camp of Modern Woodman of America. Although Mr. Fish had been in failing health for the past year, only the immediate family realized the seriousness of his condition. Besides his widow, Mrs. Lucy Fish, he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Alice Gerrish, two grandsons, Heman and Horace Hart, two brothers, Wilson and Arthur Fish, one sister, Mrs. Arthur Nutter, all of this town. The remains were brought to Dexter Saturday night, accompanied by his widow, daughter and grandsons. Interment will be in Mt. Pleasant cemetery.
