Obituary	Mrs. Jennie Abbott Shaw The many Dexter friends of Mrs. Jennie Abbott Shaw, wife of Charles Shaw of Huntsville, Ont., were shocked and saddened Saturday afternoon when word was received of her death in Montreal earlier in the day. Mr. and Mrs. Shaw had been passing three weeks in Atlantic City and were en route to their home in Huntsville when she passed away in Montreal of pleuro-pneumonia. Although Mrs. Shaw had been in failing health for the past three years her death came as a severe shock to her relatives and friends in this town. The deceased was born in Dexter the daughter of George and Levina Eldridge Abbott. She was a member of the First Universalist church and throughout her life took an active interest in the church here, having presented to the parish the beautiful Pipe organ that is now in use. She was a woman of rare grace and charm who made friends where she went. Funeral services were held in Huntsville Monday and interment will be in Toronto. Besides her husband Charles O. Shaw, she is survived by one son, Charles J. Shaw, and by two married daughters, Pauline and Jennie, who have the deep felt sympathy of their many friends here. She is survived by a nephew and niece, Fred Abbott of this town and Mrs. Imogene Mendoza of Germany also by the following cousins: Arthur P. Abbott, Mrs. Nathan Bucknam, Amos Springall, John W. Springall, Miss Lizzie Springall, Mrs. Fred Herrick, Frank Moore, Samuel Moore, Mrs. Ellen Hayes of Dexter and Ernest Carr of the Phillipines.
