Obituary	Sherman Cookson CRUSHED UNDER WHEEL Sherman Cookson Met Death When Seat an Coal Cart Broke Sherman Cookson, employed as driver for A. W. Keyte, met with a fatal accident this morning at the corner of Orchard and Mill streets, where the bolt holding the driver's seat of the coal cart which he was driving, broke throwing him beneath the wheels. As the team came to the corner the front wheels dropped into a place in the street that was gullied out and the jar caused the bolt holding the seat to break. The cart was loaded with a ton and a half of coal, one of the rear wheels passing over his body, killing him instantly. The body was taken into the office of the Elkinstown Woolen Mills nearby to await the arrival of the undertaker. Mr. Cookson had been employed by Mr. Keyte for several years and was a careful driver and faithful employe. He leaves a wife and two children, Lloyd and Sherman, Jr., who live at the corner of Pleasant and Cross streets. Before coming to Dexter he lived in Guilford, where his parents now live.
