Obituary	Mrs. Abbie Wakefield The death of Mrs. Abbie Ann Wakefield, widow of the late Daniel C. Wakefield, occurred Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Maud Card, on Spring street, where she has been ill fox the past two years. She was born in Dexter 86 years ago, the daughter, of the late Elbridge and Sophronia Reed. She spent most of her married life in Ripley and was the mother of ten children, all but one, the late Charles Wakefield, surviving her. The children are: Mrs. Clara Skillings, Ripley; Mrs. Mary Packard, Dexter; Mrs. Fronia Cooley, Ripley; Frank Wakefield, Ripley; Mrs. Maud Card, Dexter; Lavern Wakefield, Ripley; Mrs. Edna Chadbourne, Bath; Mrs. Elizabeth Bodge, Bridgeport, Conn.; John Wakefield, Ripley. Two brothers also survive her, Isiah Pratt and Dewett Pratt of Ripley. She was a member of the Union church of Corinna. Funeral services were held Friday afternoon at 1 o'clock at the Ripley Grange hall. Rev. W. H. Dunham of the Dexter Methodist church, officiated. The bearers were five grandsons of the deceased, Allerd Packard, Wilbur Packard, Clifton Skillings, Jesse Skillings and Ralph Wakefield. There were many beautiful flowers. Interment will be in Ferndale cemetery in Ripley.
